Carissimi,
after many Italian film screenings in Virginia, we have moved to Ohio...I know, you are thinking that IFS is like a gipsy...:-) I feel more like a character in "Tre uomini e una gamba"...The next film will be held in September and we'll be a Benigni's movie. 
BTW, we have recently watched Baaria by Tornatore, and we liked it, despite a cruel scene in it. I hope you can find the time to watch it...Tornatore is always Tornatore!

as you probably know by now, we are now located in Virginia. We left Michigan with tears in our eyes but the Old Dominion is not less beautiful than the Wolverine state...:-)

I have recently watched NOI CREDEVAMO by Mario MArtone, and I must say that I LOVED IT! the book that inspired it was written by Anna Banti, one of the best Italian authors of the XX century...

after some vacation time here we are again!

These days we have been watching what is considered by some people a "cult" movie about Italian youth. It is set inthe '80s but was released in the 2000's.

There are better movies out there, but this is cool to relax, listen to good music, and refresh your Italian...

Carissimi, after a long absence here I am again. The series has been as usual a success and we'll see if we can repeat it next Fall...many things are going on but something is always still: our inextinguishable (?) love for Italian cinema!!!!!!!!

Italian director DINO RISI died

one of our favorite directors, Dino Risi, died today in Rome, at age 91.

During our series we have watched IL SORPASSO and UNA VITA DIFFICILE by Risi, did you remember?
