I just recently saw the movie Mobbing on Wednesday, March 28. I did not know that this movie was based on true events that happen to women in the Italian workplace. If I was her, I would have quit a long time ago. I am surprised that she took those jobs. I understand that she was a single mother who had to provide for her daughter, but her employees and managers degraded her. Overall good movie!

I just recently saw the movie Cosi' Ridevano on Wednesday, April 4. This movie was "ok" overall because there were too many things that I did not understand. I wasn't sure if Pietro took a "hit" for his older brother and confessed that he killed the man on the street. Why would the older brother, who cared so much for Pietro, want him to be in jail the rest of his life? I think the older brother went crazy and denied what was happening because he kept lieing to his family throughout the film. Overall this was a good movie, but it seemed like it left the audience asking some questions throughout the movie that were left to be unanswered.

On March 28th, I went to see Mobbing. This movie was about a women who is faced with the modern day discriminations in the work place. Anna, the main charactor, was a single mother facing these "Mobbings" from her business manager who is unable to fire long time employees so techniques of mobbing are used to humiliate and drive a worker out. However, Anna remained strong and faught through. I was inspired by her couragous attitude. And more surprizing, this movie was based on true stories. I definatly suggest this movie as a good learning tool to understand the dirty practice that still goes on in the corporate world.

After seeing the film "Mobbing" I was very much saddened for the state of single parents, especially in a discriminating work atmosphere. I realized while watching that becoming a single mother could happen to anyone and the woman was clearly "mobbed" because she couldn't be the same type of employee as others due to the fact she had a child. I thought this film was very interesting even though very depressing.

"Le chiavi di casa" e' un film veramente emozionante e duro. E' emozionante vedere la nascita (o rinascita) del rapporto tra un padre e il figlio abbandonato da questi sin dal primo giorno di vita. E' duro vedere come questo processo sia difficile e, inevitabilmente, molto doloroso. Per me sono stati 107 minuti intensi e molto partecipati.

Today I saw the film, "le chiavi di casa." I thought the movie was depressing because of paolo's condition. But I think can especially learn a lot about paolo. Paolo is a wonderful character who you can learn from; Paolo is opptimistic about eveything, and he was always happy, even with the condition he has and the everyday things he has to go through. I liked seeing the relationship grow in between paolo and his father, and how they learned about one another. "Le Chiavi di casa" is now my favorite movie, and i would highly recommend this film!

Of the three films I viewed during the italian film series, “Quando sei nato non puoi piĆ¹ nasconderti” was undoubtedly my favorite. The film really made me take a step back and realize all of the things I take for granted, from material things to my family, and even my American citizenship. The young actors in this movie were very impressive, and the plot line was very interesting. I think some people may have been dissapointed by the ending, but I found it to be very poignant and a perfect way to end the tumultous story.

A day or two ago I saw "Le chiavi di casa." Let me warn you, you better be in the mood for an intense movie. This movie tackles a very sensitive issue and is not afraid to be frank about it. The acting is wonderful, and though it is a little slow, it just builds the dramatic effect. I also like how the movie ends at the climax because you walk out filled with emotion. I give it an -A.

I recently watched the film "Le Chiavi di Casa." It was a semi-depressing movie because I felt like it really conveyed to viewers the difficult reality of living with (or having a child with) cerebral palsy. The scene in which Paolo is being coached to walk at the German facility is so sad and disturbing. At the same time, the movie was very touching. Gianni's growing devotion to Paolo and the increasing strength of their bond was really moving. Overall I enjoyed this movie; watching Gianni learn to love and accept Paolo, and watching Paolo's determination was really wonderful!

I thought that the film "Il Gattopardo" would be interesting, but I was rather disappointed. I feel like I just missed the point of the movie. The general atmosphere in the movie seemed very bleak, as Prince Salina watched the whole aristocratic system crumble. I did like the relationship between Tancredi and Angelica, it seemed real. The costumes were beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed the ball scene. But that's about it. The movie was very slow and boring, and seemed to drag on forever. I don't feel like I could truly appreciate this film; it was just too long.

The movie "Cosi Ridevano" was decent, but I was left very confused. I liked the character of Giovanni. He was hard-working and really cared about his brother. I found myself getting frustrated that Pietro did not seem to reciprocate all that Giovanni was doing for him. The end wasn't exactly clear to me. Was it actually Giovanni who killed the man? Why would he let Pietro take the blame for it? If that is actually what happened, then I would say that it is a nice ending, with Pietro finally doing something nice for his brother. However I'm not sure that's the case, and so I have no idea what to make of this movie.

The first movie that I saw was La Nottie di San Lorenzo. It takes place in 1944 in the city of San Martino. The protagonist is a man named Galvano Galvani. This movie takes place in the time of the nazis. Galvano tells the people that they should leave the city of San Martino in order to find the American army. It is a very interesting film. I particularly like how they portrayed the American soldiers in this film, who smoked and gave the little girl a very unusual balloon. Overall, I think it was definitely a worthwhile Italian film.

The second movie I saw was Cosi Redevano. It is about two brothers, Pietro and Giovanni, who emigrated to Sicily. Giovanni works so that Pietro can go to school, who he believes to be a brilliant student. At the end of the film, Giovanni kills a man. Pietro takes the blame for it. The way sacrifice works in this film is extremely interesting, bringing up questions of who made the bigger sacrifice in their life. This movie was a bit lengthy, but the end brought the movie back to life. I liked the film.

The final movie that I saw was Le Chiavi di Casa. It is about Gianni and his son Paolo, who he left when he was born. The movie was insightful and made me feel really good about life, seeing that Paolo was so optimistic despite his debilitating condition. The movie was very sad, but had some really good messages.

Gentiluomini si nasce, non si diventa. O forse si spaccia.
